Amendments to By-laws (Memorandum Circular No. 2006-0004)

SUBJECT: RATIFICATION OF THE PROPOSED AMENDMENTS TO THE IIEE CONSTITUTION AND BY-LAWS
Dear Fellow Electrical Practitioner,
In the year 2004, the Board empowered the Council of Former Presidents to take the lead in reviewing the necessary amendments to the Institute’s By-Laws to make it attuned to the changing times and to address the needs of the Institute’s growing membership. These proposed amendments were then presented to and approved by the General Membership during the Business Meeting of the Annual National Convention (ANC) last November 20, 2004 at the PICC Plenary Hall.
We have already incorporated all the inputs received from the General Membership. You may download the complete text of the proposed amendments from the IIEE website (www.iiee.info). Now, we would like to secure the vote of the general membership, through proxy voting, in order to ratify the proposed amendments as required by the Securities and Exchange Commission.
You may authorize any of our National Officers or your respective Regional Governors to represent you and vote on your behalf by filling up the attached (continuing) proxy form. The Board of Governors scheduled the ratification of the proposed amendments to the IIEE Constitution and By-laws before the 10th Regular Board Meeting in October 2008.
Please send this back to IIEE National Office, through any National Officer, your Regional Governor or Chapter President not later than 15 September 2008. Otherwise, you may mail this directly to IIEE at #41 Monte de Piedad St. Cubao, Quezon City 1111. Please note that we need the proxy form that bears the original signature of the member.
