Memorandum Circular No. 2006-0001

February 18, 2006

FOR: ALL IIEE CHAPTER PRESIDENTS
Engr. Ramon Z. Gatchalian, NCR Affairs Bureau Director

FROM: THE VICE-PRESIDENT FOR INTERNAL AFFAIRS

CC: BOARD OF GOVERNORS

SUBJECT: 2006 ANNUAL THEME, TENTATIVE SCHEDULE OF EVENTS FOR 2006 AND OTHER MATTERS

Dear Colleagues:

Please disseminate the following information to your chapter members:
I. 2006 IIEE Theme

The 2006 IIEE annual theme is Moving Forward Amidst National and Global Challenges. This theme will stress on IIEE’s continuing positive attitude in facing and winning over the challenges facing our profession and our country. Please use this theme as guide in all projects and activities of the chapter in 2006. The theme should be included in all backdrops, banners and promotional materials (e.g. souvenir program, magazines, collaterals, etc.) that the chapter will come up with.

II. 2006 Board of Governors

For your reference, Annex A provides the list of the 2006 IIEE Board of Governors, including their contact information.

III. Tentative Schedule of Activities for Year 2006

Please refer to Annex B for the 2006 IIEE Schedule of Activities. Please regularly refer to the IIEE website (www.iiee.org.ph) for updates in the schedule.

IV. Business Card Information Form

The IIEE Business Card will be issued to the 2006 Board of Governors and 2006 Chapter Presidents. May we request all concerned to fill up the Business Card Information Form (see Annex C) and to submit it to the National Office through email (iiee@iiee.info) or fax (02 7273545 or 02 4101899) on or before February 28, 2006 for printing.

V. Updating of Membership Information

As discussed during the General Membership Meeting held last November 26, 2005, kindly submit to IIEE the updated information of the chapter members, preferably in excel format, specifying the following information:

1. Name (First Name, Middle Name, Last Name);
2. Mailing Address:
a) If Office: Company Name, Floor, Building Name, Building No., Name of Street, Barangay, Town /City, Province, Zip Code
b) If Home: Home No., Name of Street, Subdivision Name, Barangay, Town/City, Province, Zip Code
3. Phone No/s.:
4. Fax No/s. :
5. Mobile No/s.:
6. Email Address:
7. PRC Grade/ PRC License No.:

We have uploaded in the IIEE website the list of members whom the post office has classified as having untraceable address or addressee. These members will not be able to receive any EE magazine or correspondence from IIEE until we receive their updated information. Please help us deliver the services that our members deserve.

VI. Amendments to the IIEE Constitution and By-Laws

Another item discussed during the November 2006 GMM is the need to finally ratify the amendments to the IIEE Constitution and By-laws during the October 2006 GMM during the Annual National Convention. Following the advise of the IIEE legal counsel, we are attaching a new proxy form (please refer to Annex D) which must be originally signed by the IIEE members and submitted to their Chapter President, Regional Governor and/or any National Officer. The member’s signature should match the signature in the membership form, which is in the file of the IIEE National Office so that this can easily be referred to in case there are questions as to the authenticity of the signature. All the proxy forms gathered in 2005 are already invalid by reason of the nature of the proxy form. We enjoin all chapters to participate actively in gathering the signed proxy forms.

VII. 2005 Accomplishment Report for IIEE’s Bid for 2006 Most Outstanding Accredited Professional Organization

Once again, IIEE will submit its bid documents to the Professional Regulation Commission for the 2006 Most Outstanding Accredited Professional Organization (MOAPO) Award. We would like to ask your support and cooperation by submitting the highlights of the Chapter’s accomplishments, with accompanying pictures (hardcopy or electronic file), for 2005. Please include all significant activities organized and/or participated in by the chapter, whether these are trainings, seminars, conferences, socio-civic activities, institutional partnerships (with schools, local governments, government agencies, NGOs, private companies, etc.), and the like. We would appreciate receiving these reports and pictures not later than February 28, 2006 so we can submit our bid documents on time.

VIII. IIEE Website

We would appreciate any contribution of materials and pictures that we can upload in the IIEE website, for the appreciation of all IIEE members.

IX. List of 2006 Chapter Officers

Kindly submit to us the list of your 2006 Chapter Officers, along with their contact information (phone no., mobile no., fax no. and email address), including the contact details of the Chapter Secretariat (with at lease two alternate emails). This will allow IIEE to update its records and send communications more effectively to the Chapter.
